Abstract
We encountered a patient with body lateropulsion and complete vertical gaze palsy. MRI revealed a unilateral rostral paramedian midbrain and thalamic infarction. This rare case of anatomical localization could be associated with body lateropulsion and impairment of vertical eye movement. The involvement of ascending vestibulo-thalamic pathways and structure for controlling supranuclear vertical eye movement could explain the neurologic abnormalities in this case.
